How a Polene Bag Is Made

Every Polene handbag items is handcrafted by artisans in Ubrique, Spain, a town that has produced fine leather goods for generations. We source our leather exclusively from certified tanneries in Spain and Italy, selecting hides for grain consistency, softness, and durability.

Our hardware is finished in gold-tone metal, and every seam, edge, and closure is inspected before a bag leaves the workshop. We do not cut corners on materials, and we do not mark up for a logo. The result is a leather bag built to the standards of houses that charge two or three times our price.
